This interactive glass-blowing experience is a must-do for your family on your Santa Fe adventure!

Imagine walking into a room heated to a temperature hotter than you could have ever imagined being bearable, fires burning in encased iron dwellings, and artists working their magic on handblown glass pieces. The heat, unique features, and mind-blowing art are what welcome you at Tesuque Glassworks.

Glass blowing is an art craft that began in the 1st century by Syrian craftsmen. This ancient art continues today, with some of the world's best artists still practicing the craft.

Tesuque Glassworks is in Tesuque, New Mexico, just fifteen minutes north of Santa Fe. Founded in 1975 by Charlie Miner, this locally run business encourages locals and tourists to indulge in the fantastic art through daily demonstrations and classes. They have experienced glass artists and an apprenticeship program for new artists. This amazing place is a dream to visit!

Through our own experiences, we've seen the beautiful glass pieces decorate the gift shop. But even better, we've gotten to see these artists at work.

Plan your class with three days' notice in an individual or group setting. Want to create your own handblown glass art with the help of a professional? Take the individual lesson to make your own! Choose your favorite color and make your selection from a list of objects. These dedicated professionals will let you be as hands-on as you desire with their detailed safety protocols. These lessons take a while due to the technical difficulty of creation, but they are worth it!

Want something memorable to take home that won't be as involved? Schedule a paperweight lesson! Create your paperweight from their selection of fantastical colors and designs. This short 30-minute lesson lets you dip your feet into the art and bring home a little piece of Santa Fe.

We loved our visit to the Tesuque Glassworks, and we know that you will too!
